Elnita Williams’ book is entitled; I'm First Lady, Now What? For a long time Elnita has dreamed of writing a book, and finally the opportunity presented itself in the fall of 2009. Her book examines issues that pastors' wives encounter during their first few years as First Lady. Elnita expresses herself in a light-hearted manner, yet at times, she presents her more serious side. She says, “My first experience as an author has been an awesome one. I enjoyed every moment of the writing process.”

Mrs. Williams says that there was a time when the Black church was all powerful, and Black folk spent lots of time in worship. A lot of good came from that. If children were at church, surely they were safe and secure. In Elnita’s book she tries to recapture some of that past.
